In a significant move to empower Ijaw youths, the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Central Zone, led by Comrade Perekosufa Ineife, presented cameras, laptops, and other essential gadgets to 50 Ijaw youths who recently completed training in photojournalism.
Speaking at the event, Comr. Ineife reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting the youths, emphasizing that the struggle is against poverty, not among themselves. He pledged to continue doing his best to support the Ijaw people and create opportunities for their development.
He expressed gratitude to the Governor of Bayelsa State for his unwavering support, channeled through the Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Alfred Kemepado Nimizigha. He praised their dedication to youth empowerment in the state.
Additionally, he extended appreciation to the President of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, for his support in fostering an enabling environment that contributed to the success of the program.
Reaffirming his commitment to youth development, Comr. Ineife assured that he would continue working towards ensuring that Central Zone youths become proud ambassadors of the Ijaw ethnicity.
