Gen. Bodmas Kemepadei who is the founder of the "Bayelsa Pikin Project" has today launched the official induction of the beneficiaries for Free Skills acquisition/ empowerment training for youths drawn from the eight (8) Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Recall that the Organizers of " Bayelsa Pikin Project" had published an opening for a free skill acquisition/ empowerments Programme calling on interested youths in Bayelsa State to apply for various skills such as: Driving, Graphics Design, Barbing, Liquid Soap Making, Fashion Design, POS merchants, Baking, Content Creation and Bead making etc...
Today, the event featured successful beneficiaries from various Local Government Area who were carefully selected meeting all the necessary requirements to enroll in the scheme.
Gen. Bodmas Kemepadei congratulated the Twenty Four ( 24) successful candidates of the scheme, while commending the Local Government Coordinators for their strict selection process in capturing qualified Bayelsans as beneficiaries. He urged beneficiaries to take advantage of the Programme as it will avail them a great deal of opportunity to acquire the needed skills for self reliance and personal development.
Furthermore, he hampered on commitment, focus, passion and diligence as a motivating factor to learn a skill and make purposeful use out of it. He assured beneficiaries of an enabling environment for training and support as well as determination to see them succeed in their various skill of choice.
Mrs. Gift Watchful who is a beneficiary and also a physically Challenged said she is grateful for the opportunity to learn social media content creation and assured that she will take her training serious to ensure that she masters in the art ; stressing that it is a lucrative Field in today's world.
However, other beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the organizers of the scheme and promised to make judicious use of the opportunity which they said has been their dream but lacked the needed support.
Importantly, Gen. Bodmas Kemepadei assures beneficiaries of excellent mentorship and professionalism of Resource persons who will be taking rigorous steps to teach and mentor participants in their various skills. Also, the Organizers effort and commitment to empower them after successful acquisition of skills and mentorships.
