After an intensive search, the Honourable Commissioner for Marine and Blue Economy, along with the Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties, the Nigerian Police Force, and other relevant agencies, received the recovered bodies of eighteen victims from the ill-fated boat mishap that occurred in the Ezetu waterways. This tragic event has drawn significant attention and concern to the region.
In the aftermath of the accident, the Commissioner has actively engaged with survivors to understand the full scope of the incident and to provide support. These discussions are crucial for addressing immediate needs and investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
Dr. Faith expressed deep condolences to families of the victims while receiving the bodies at the Yenagoa FMC waterside. It was an intense atmosphere for both the grieving community and the officials working to offer aid and gather information at the waterside.
