After exhaustive deliberations on the forth coming Local Government Elections on Saturday the 5' day of October, 2024, IPAC made up of nineteen (19) Political Parties and following assurances of a level playing field by His Excellency Sir.
Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State and RSIEC that the Local Government Council Elections shall be free and fair and in addition, that all elections materials and security arrangements are in place, IPAC resolved as follows:
1. That all 19 political parties shall mobilize their teeming supporters and ensure that the elections are seamless, free from violence, thuggery and ballot snatching.
2. That the election is founded on the basis of the Supreme Court Judgment in
SC/CV/343/2004: A-G Federation and A-G Abia State and 35 ORS and the Judgment of the High Court of Rivers State in Suit No PHC/2696/CS/2024 mandating Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) to use the last INEC 2023 voters register to conduct the Local Government Council Elections on the 5th day of October, 2023.
3. Most importantly, the All Progressives Congress, Rivers State Chapter led by her Chairman, Chief Emeka Bekee is present in our midst today. His Chairmanship and his Executive was affirmed by a judgment of the High Court of Rivers State in Suit Nos. PHC/3592/CS/2023 and PHC/3735/CS/2023.
4. The Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Rivers State Chapter in line with the judgment of the High Court of Rivers State and RSIEC Law has sponsored and fielded candidates for the Local Government Council Elections. The nineteen (19) Political Parties include:

5. We urge the good people of Rivers State to ignore the on-going deceit and campaign of calumny. The Local Government Council Elections will hold as scheduled on Saturday the 5th Day of October, 2024.
