Governor Dr. Alex Otti has forwarded a list of new commissioner nominees to the Abia State House of Assembly for screening.
In a letter read at the floor of the House by the speaker Rt. Hon Emmanuel Emeruwa , the Governor requested for the screening and confirmation of commissioner nominees.
In a unanimous resolution by the House the nominees were invited for Screening today, August 7th, 2024.
According to the letter, the nominees includes:
Mr. David Kalu
Ubochi Goodluck Chinedu
Dr. Mrs. Queen Ijeoma Aghukwa
Uwaoma Ukandu
Kingsley Chibueze Nwokocha
Professor Ogbonnaya Uche
A source within the House Assembly revealed that Prof Ogbonnaya Uche will serve as Chairman Abia State Independent Electoral Commission while others will serve as Commissioners.
