POLICE SECURES RELEASE OF PASTORS, VOWS TO HUNT DOWN ABDUCTORS
The Rivers State Police Command has secured the release of the pastor of Light Intercessors Church in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State Pastor Kingsley Anosike, from his abductors on Wednesday.
Pastor Anosike was freed alongside three other pastors who were abducted in the same area.
The three pastors were said to be attached to a guest speaker, Bishop Moses Uzodinma, who was attending a programme.
But the police is not stopping at their release but has vowed to hunt down the abductors.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the release of the abducted pastors in a statement on Thursday.
“I can confirm the release of the pastor and others who were kidnapped.
"But an investigation is ongoing to ensure that we apprehend those behind the kidnap to make them face justice,” she added.
