TASK FORCE IN LAGOS DEMOLISH SHRINE ALONG ROAD
On Thursday, an Environmental Sanitation Task Force demolished a shrine constructed near a main road at Moshalasi Bus Stop, Ile Epo in Iyana Ipaja in Lagos State.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab explained the rational behind the demolition in a post on his X handle.
He said that before the shrine was removed, government officials were physically assaulted severely.
Wahab warned residents to stop constituting environmental nuisance within and around parks and gardens in Lagos State.
“After several stop-work notices served and physical assault on the personnel of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency
“The Lagos State government is again warning everyone to desist from constituting any form of environmental nuisance on the State parks and gardens as this will be met with prosecution.
