The Bayelsa Waste to Wealth Workshop with the Theme: Raising Capital for Circular Economy Awareness held yesterday, Thursday 25th July 2024 at Ijaw House along Sani Abacha Express Way Yenagoa with speakers coming from different part of the country to speak on the Waste Management Sector.
The Converner of the program Winsome Tariere Adere spoke on the need for Bayelsans to get involved in the Waste Management Sector of the state as this will give meaningful self employment and empower Bayelsans to be self reliance.
The speakers of the event includes Kelly Odoni, the Chief Executive Officer of Wash Consultant from Kano he talked on Waste to Energy, Kingsley Ime from Port Harcourt, a business development consultant he spoked on financial management while Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Amalate Ann Jonathan Obuebite FNSC extensively talked about valuable product from petroleum waste.
The workshop which is a one day awareness campaign will be followed subsequently with trainings, mentoring and grants giving to participants who have successfully been trained on different areas of the waste management sector.
