EDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR DEFECTS TO APC, LEADS PDP'S LEGACY GROUP IN MASS DEFECTION

In a shocking political move, reinstated Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Shaibu made the announcement on Saturday in Benin, the state capital, alongside prominent members of the Dan Orbih-led Legacy Group of the PDP.

Addressing the crowd, Shaibu stated, "On behalf of the Legacy Group, I announce our movement to the APC. We have come to add value to the party. It's time to take back our state. We will not talk too much; action will speak for us. We are not afraid; we are ready to move forward."

Shaibu expressed his support for the APC governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, stating, "We, the homeboys, are ready to take our state back through the APC."

In a symbolic gesture, Shaibu knelt before former Governor Adams Oshiomhole upon arrival, receiving applause from party supporters. This defection marks a significant shift in Edo State's political landscape.
